A Diamond Setting Duo

In a house over 170 years old, located in the historic Old Town of Niagara on the Lake, two jewellers set up a studio that focuses on remodelling heirloom jewellery.

Julie Dyck and Michael Humphries have been making jewellery for over 25 years and there’s one thing they noticed all of their clients had in common; they have diamonds and gemstones in their jewellery box that need to be liberated from their old fashioned settings.

So they started Ring Reno to make jewellery for people who understand the value of choosing to use resources already in circulation. Repurposing well loved gemstones and recycling the gold creates jewellery that has meaning beyond the sum of its parts while the cost is far more affordable than buying a brand new piece of jewellery.

Ring Reno simplifies the process by doing everything in-house. The company has been certified to use the Canadian National Mark. To earn this certification, the processes and production were audited by the Competition Bureau of Canada.

• We carefully clean, remove and reset your gemstones using modern diamond setting techniques and microscopes. We trained at the Alexandre School for Optical Diamond Setting in Antwerp, Belgium. Many jewellers send their work out to a diamond setter, we are certified precision diamonds setters so your jewels stay with us, always.

• Create the piece of jewellery you have in mind or work with you to custom design and handcraft your new jewel

• We gladly accept and recycle any gold jewellery and offer a credit towards the cost of your new piece of jewellery. This makes your new, custom piece of jewellery more affordable

• We provide Excellent service throughout the process - we make wax models to try on, offer different pricing options, stay in touch during production by sending photos of progress and offer repair service to our clients if they have anything to send along that needs our attention

• We work with clients across Canada and ship to/from our studio in Niagara on the Lake with fully insured FedEx overnight delivery
